报告题目:Group Connectivity, Strongly Zm-Connectivity and Edge Disjoint Spanning Trees

    要:It is well known that if a graph has two edge disjoint spanning trees, it has A-connected for any abelian group A of order at least 4.  In the talk, I will talk about the relation between group connectivity, strongly Zm and spanning trees.  We  show that a graph G is Zm-connected if and only if (m-2)G is strongly Zm-connected, where (m-2)G is the graph obtained from G by replacing each edge in G with m-2 parallel edges. We also show that if G is Zm -connected, then (m-2)G has m-1 edge disjoint spanning trees.  Those results imply that every Z3-connected graph is A-connected for any abelian group A of order at least 4. They are  applied to determine the exact upper bound of the size of graphs that are not Zm-connected and to characterize  graphic  sequences that have Zm-connected realizations.

报告人概况:罗荣,美国西弗吉尼亚大学(West Virginia UniversityUSA)数学系教授、博士生导师,美国数学学会委员,曾任中西部图论会议、AMS东南会议图论会议、坎伯兰会议大会组委会委员,现任Journal of Proteomics & BioinformaticsOpen Journal of Discrete MathematicsISRN Discrete Mathematics等期刊编委。 主要从事图论、组合、组合矩阵论、图论在化学和生物学中的应用等方面的研究。2007-2008年在中田纳西州立大学荣获卓越出版奖;2006-2007年在中田纳西州立大学荣获杰出科研奖励;2003-2004年在中田纳西州立大学荣获杰出研究员奖。
